STEPANAKERT, SEPTEMBER 5, ARTSAKHPRESS: "Artsakhpress" correspondent learned from some of the freedom fighters about their spirit and objectives. The interviews are presented below.

Samvel Aghajanian, the chairman of the UAFF’s Askeran regional unit:

- With "One nation, One homeland" motto we are ready to serve in all parts of our country. We are leaving with great enthusiasm and high spirit. Our goal is to deal a crushing blow to the enemy, noted Aghajanian, adding that, moreover, other members of Askeran regional union expressed a desire to participate in the mission, because of the limited number of seats fewer freedom fighters are involved from Askeran.

Edik Khachatryan, the UAFF’s Chief of Staff:

- We are leaving with great enthusiasm. It's everybody's duty to protect the country's borders and ensure security of our nation. We have a common homeland and border and we are ready at any moment to face the enemy’s attacks and give a proper lesson. The mission’s aim is to show that the Armenian nation is united, which is the pledge of our victory.

Harout Mnatsakanyan, the head of the UAFF’s “Defender of Motherland" Youth Organization.

- We are ready to fight for our homeland, and the 7 volunteers involved in the youth group are ready to carry out any tactical mission alongside the experienced freedom fighters. We are excited, because we are going to stand on the border of our country. This visit is a symbolic jesture, because our soldiers are carrying out their mission in a flawless and confident way.

Hrachik Nasibyan, the head of the UAFF’s Stepanakert regional 5th unit:

-We frequently participate in various patriotic events. I think that the border is our home. We don’t want war, but we are always ready to give counterattacks to enemy’s encroachments at any moment.
