Armenian Defense Minister’s Spokesperson Artsrun Hovhannisyan thinks that volunteer recruitment for the army service by the Azerbaijan Defense Ministry has no special significance.
Defense Ministry Spokesperson: Volunteer recruitment in Azerbaijan is ridiculous
STEPANAKERT, MAY 5, ARTSAKHPRESS: In an interview with “Armenpress”, Artsrun Hovhannisyan said Azerbaijan wanted to show something, they showed their arsenal and their weapons. This is all just show off.
Artsrun Hovhannisyan considers ridiculous this step by Azerbaijani Defense Ministry since they previously announced that they did not need to recruit volunteers. “For instance, we from the very start recruited volunteers and did not keep that information secret. There was even such case that we said it is enough, since many volunteers were coming, however, in this case Azerbaijan’s action is not understandable”, Hovhannisyan concluded.
Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan established a procedure of volunteer and urgent service in their armed forces. Ministry announced that taking into account the large number of people wanting to serve in the army, the procedure has been established. It is said those who want urgently serve in the army can apply to commanding staff of the military unit where they want to serve.
