The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, who is on a visit to Germany, on Thursday met with his German colleague, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
No alternative to Karabakh peace – Armenian FM to Germany's Steinmeier
STEPANAKERT, NOVEMBER 4, ARTSAKHPRESS: The interlocutors thoroughly discussed the steps aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries. Nalbandian appreciated the German government’s assistance to the ongoing reforms in Armenia.
They also reflected on urgent regional and international matters, and conferred on Armenia-European Union cooperation.
In the context of the current German chairmanship in the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the two FMs exchanged views on the matters that are on the agenda of this organization.
And within the framework of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement process, Edward Nalbandian drew OSCE Chairman-in-Office Frank-Walter Steinmeier’s attention on the fact that Azerbaijan refuses to implement the agreements toward pushing forward the process for resolving the Karabakh conflict, and continues to aggravate the situation along its line of contact with Nagorno-Karabakh.
The interlocutors shared the view that a pacific settlement of the Karabakh conflict has no alternative.
