While on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on November 10 met heads of a number of UAE investment and development companies, press service of the Presidential administration stated.

STEPANAKERT, NOVEMBER 10, ARTSAKHPRESS-ARMENPRESS: The sides underlined with satisfaction Armenia’s warm friendly relations with the UAE, as well as the high-level political dialogue, which according to them, unfortunately still doesn’t correspond to the current level of the trade-economic ties of the two states. They stated that there is a great potential to develop the relations in this field, and consistent works must be carried out on this path.
The heads of companies said the Armenian President’s visit to the UAE and his meetings with the country’s political leadership is an evidence of bilateral political will and readiness to intensify Armenia-UAE relations in the trade-economic sector. They assured that they are greatly interested in Armenia’s investment policy and concrete projects, and are ready to discuss Armenia’s priorities in various sectors, visit Armenia and examine the environment, move forward the talks.
During the meeting President Sargsyan instructed the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration, as well as the Minister of Economic Development and Investments to continue the mutual cooperation with the UAE companies interested in investment projects and present them the projects in the framework of their business interests.
The Armenian President informed the sides that the Armenian side has prepared investment strategic packages which are under his direct attention, and it will be welcomed and the necessary support will be provided to the UAE investors in a number of sectors of Armenia’s economy, and in case of the existence of large-scale investments more privileges will be given based on a special decision
