The key of the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is in the hand of the two sides,” during the briefing held the day before Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova expressed such an opinion in response to the question related to the Azerbaijani sabotage infiltration attempted on the Armenian border on 29 December, Panorama.am reports.

To note, in the morning of 29 December the Azerbaijani armed forces launched a sabotage infiltration attempt in the direction of the Armenian posts located south-east from Chinari village of Armenia’s Tavush region. During the battles fought for the defense of the RA state border Armenian servicemen Senior Lieutenant Shavarsh Melikyan and contract soldiers Erik Abovyan and Edgar Naroyan passed away. Azerbaijani forces suffered losses as a result of the provocation initiated by them.
OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, Chairman of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland, as well as CSTO have released statements over the incident.
The RA MFA, as well as the Armenian politicians and the society have expressed opinions over those unaddressed and vague statements.
