Pentagon chief assures colleagues from Germany and France of US’ commitment to NATO

STEPANAKERT, JANUARY 27, ARTSAKHPRESS: As the press service of the Pentagon reported, during telephone talk with German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen, the parties discussed the importance of the alliance between the U.S. and Germany both in bilateral format and as members of NATO. Mattis assured the minister of "the United States’ enduring commitment to the NATO alliance.

During a separate call with French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, Mattis discussed the importance of NATO and fight against ISIS.
