STEPANAKERT, FEBRUARY 22, ARTSAKHPRESS: Francois Hollande said in particular. "We must find ways regulating the conflict, about which we know well and which are recorded in the Madrid Principles. I will not list them here, but we know that when these principles are applied, they should be based on the right to the self-determination of Nagorno-Karabakh. So for taking this path France will organize a new meeting with Armenia and Azerbaijan. "

In this regard, the France-Artsakh friendship circle has issued a statement in which the organization welcomed the president's position.

"By creating statement in 1991 the people of Artsakh  implemented its inalienable right to self-determination” the Head of the "France-Artsakh" Friendship Circle Francois Roshbluan said. However it is necessary to hail the fact that the President of the Republic recognizes the prospect of international recognition of the independence, clearly speaking about it, "he added.

The France-Artsakh friendship circle reminds special responsibility of France in the region, which, as an OSCE Minsk Group co-chair country, undertakes to assist the sides to ensure the conditions for a lasting peace settlement.

The mission of our Circle is to support any step aimed at regional peace and stability. So we support Francois Hollande proposal to organize a meeting, said  the Head of the "France-Karabakh" Friendship Circle Francois Roshbluan.

In order to raise the effectiveness of the negotiations it is necessary to reaffirm commitment to the trilateral agreement of 1994 and bring the 3 sides Armenia, Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh together to the negotiation table.

Friendship Circle is ready to support any initiative aimed at reconciliation, at the same time respecting the democratic expression of the state will of the sides of the conflict, "the statement reads.
