By escalating situation in NK line of contact Azerbaijan’s Aliyev diverts public’s attention from domestic issues
STEPANAKERT, MARCH 3, ARTSAKHPRESS-ARMENPRESS: “All know that Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev appointed his wife Vice-President, and the Interior Minister appointed his son as Deputy Minister. These appointments created a serious dissatisfaction among the Azerbaijani people. Therefore, Aliyev regim is trying to escalate the situation in the border in order to divert the public attention from these problems”, Shahin Mirzoyev said.
The Armenian MFA on February 11 announced that the Armenian leadership received a request from Shahin Mirzoev for temporary asylum, since as a member of Talysh Cultural Council, Talysh freedom movement, journalist at the “Tolishi Sado” newspaper, he was obliged to flee from Azerbaijan due to the persecutions against ethnic and religious minorities and gross violations of their rights, and to arrive to Armenia with his family. Armenian leadership reacted positively to the request of Shahin Mirzoev.
