The Armed Forces of Armenia are battleworthy and have everything necessary for providing the security of Armenia’s borders and also be the guarantor of security for the population of Nagorno Karabakh, President Sargsyan said in Moscow’s State Institute of International Relations in response to a students’ question.
All issues will be quickly solved in case Azerbaijan recognizes self-determination right of NKR people, President Sargsyan says
STEPANAKERT, MARCH 15, ARTSAKHPRESS-ARMENPRESS: “I will repeat once again, we don’t want war, we want to solve this issue peacefully, with the help of the Minsk Group Co-Chairs”, the President stressed.
Serzh Sargsyan reminded that during the last three years the Azerbaijani side often mentions that the status-quo is unacceptable. “Actually the status-quo is unacceptable: we would also like for everything to change, and Azerbaijan to recognize the right for self determination of the people of Nagorno Karabakh, in that case the status quo will really change. Everything else derives from this. This is an indissoluble right. Today’s world order hints this. If there was no self determination right, is there was no possibility to exercise it, then both Armenia and Azerbaijan would be a part of the Soviet Union. You can’t become an independent state through self determination in one case, and then oppose another case. This is unacceptable. This way, is the Azerbaijani side really recognizes the right of the people of Nagorno Karabakh and it self determines, all other issues will be solved very quickly”, he said.
