Ilham Aliyev’s statements are false – Freedom House

STEPANAKERT, MAY 15, ARTSAKHPRESS-ARMENPRESS: “The blocking of opposition media websites proves that all statements of the Azerbaijani government and President Ilham Aliyev on internet freedom in the country are false”, Freedom House said in a statement.

Robert Herman, vice president for external programs of Freedom House, said the shutdown of opposition websites in Azerbaijan can be a precedent for Ilham Aliyev to pressure and limit freedom of speech and media in the future.
