Armenia and Artsakh PMs got familiarized with construction works in Talish (Video)

Prime Minister Arayik Haroutyunyan of the Republic of Artsakh together with Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan, who is in Artsakh on an informal visit, visited Askeran, Martuni and Martakert regions on August 16.

STEPANAKERT, AUGUST 17, ARTSAKHPRESS: They also were in Mataghis and Talish communities.

Subsequently, the two PMs got acquainted with the cultivation of pomegranate and cigarette gardens being carried out through the drip irrigation system.

During the visit, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture of Artsakh Gevorg Veranyan made a presentation on the advantages and peculiarities of the drip irrigation system.
Arayik Haroutyunyan noted that taking account the efficiency of the program, the government of Artsakh encourages and supports all those who want to put the drip irrigation system in their gardens.

Then the two Prime Ministers left for Martakert region. Then they visited Mataghis and Talish communities.
Accompanied by the Secretary of NKR Security Council Vitaly Balasanyan and the head of the Martakert Regional Administration Vladik Khachatryan, the two officials familiarized themselves with the ongoing construction work in Talish, as well as discussed a number of community development programs.

"The Talish restoration program is in the center of our attention. Last year in April as a result of military operations unleashed by Azerbaijan, the villagers had to leave their homes.
Today, our task is to provide security and such social-economic conditions, so that in the future, the Talish people will not have to leave their homes, "said Haroutyunyan.

Afterwards, A. Haroutyunyan and K. Karapetyan visited the newly opened recreation zone built by foreign investment near the Mataghis reservoir.
