STEPANAKERT, AUGUST 22, ARTSAKHPRESS: HALO Trust also has women-sappers.

"The first group was established in 2015 from Kareghah village of Kashatagh region. Now there are three such groups where the number of women dominates, "he said.

Responding to the question how they take employees, Bodin said that a 5-week probation period is required to work at  HALO Trust. The first four weeks includes theory and practice of demining, and the fifth week-the first medical aid.

After each stage, the participants pass an exam and during that time decide whether the work is expedient or not.

40 year old Lilit Martirosyan is from Stepanakert. She has been working at Halo Trust since April 2, 2017.

"The work is difficult and dangerous, but we do our best to eliminate this danger for others. Our group consists of 7 sappers (five of them are women) and one commander, "said Lilic, adding that she learned about the work from her husband who also works at Halo Trust.

She added that she works with her husband in the same group, and every time going to work, they think about harmless returning because their teenage children are waiting for them at home.
