On October 18, the Minister of State of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Haroutyunyan accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture Jirayr Mirzoyan and the Director of the Support Fund of Village and Agriculture Ashot Bakhshyan convened a working consultation on agricultural and other topics.

STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 19, ARTSAKHPRESS: Kashatagh region community leaders, agriculture representatives and farmers also attended the meeting.
As the press service of the Artsakh Government states, the responsible for the department of agriculture of the region made a report. He noted that by the instruction of the head of the administration, headquarters have been formed to organize all the autumn sowing works in an organized manner.
Touching upon last year’s indicators, he noted that the Kashatagh region continues to maintain the leading position in terms of gross agricultural production. 20,052 hectares have been reaped from 20,207 hectares sowing areas of which the gross harvest was 55,817 tones.
A. Haroutyunyan was satisfied with the results and noted that taking into account the great potential of the region; there are still many works to do. "Soon we will try two new projects in the region by state means. The first is the opening of milk-collection centers in the southern and northern wings, which will contribute to the development of cattle breeding.
The second, especially in the northern wing, equipment for making dried fruit will be provided. Then all products will be purchased with state support, "the State Minister said and added that it is also planned to create modern refrigeration facilities where residents will be able to keep their crops and sell them at a more expensive price in the winter season.
During the meeting, Arayik Haroutyunyan also touched upon the problem of repatriation. He noted that the government intends to activate the repatriation program in the region and instructed the head of the regional administration to inventory the entire housing stock of the region, which can be reconstructed. He also noted that hundreds of new apartments are planned to be built in various districts of the region to promote repatriation.
During the consultation Arayik Haroutyunyan also answered the questions of the attendees.
