Levon Mnatsakanyan explains why the Artsakh Armed Forces refrained from taking counter measures
STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 24, ARTSAKHPRESS:The Republic of Artsakh Defense Minister and Defense Army Commander, Levon Mnatsakanyan, stated the abovementioned at a press conference on Tuesday.
He noted that this tension is due to snipers’ presence in the conflict zone and the Azerbaijani military’s tactics of provoking violence from time to time. He recalled that a serviceman was killed by an Azerbaijani sniper on October 19.
He also noted the Azerbaijani armed forces’ firing of Spike anti-tank guided missiles twice.
“We have already informed that if such strikes occur later on, there will be a response,” said the NKR defense minister and added:
“We will meet with representatives of the OSCE Minsk Group in the coming days, and we will discuss the created situation.”
