STEPANAKERT, NOVEMBER 17, ARTSAKHPRESS:In a speech at the closing ceremony of an international business week in Yerevan, the diplomat focused particularly on the unempoyment issue, agreeing that its social impact is very often the root cause of emigration, Tert.am reported.

Addressing the signficance of the event, Mr Mills said offered him a good opportunity for him to meet, and talk to many employers to find out a high demand for good specialists in practically all the sectors.   

Mr Mills added that the business week, featuring many companies and educational institutions, is aimed at assisting those Armenian entrapreneurs who want to set up their own businesses.

He said that the organizers are also planning meetings with accomplished businessmen who will be invited to share their success stories with the start-ups.

Mr Mills further stressed the major role of education as an important path towards finding a dream job.

The diplomat said they see a rather business-friendly atmosphre in the country potentially promoting entrapreneurial activity and encouraging innovative ideas. He highlighted especially the progress in the IT sector, noting that many Armenian companies work hard to also create their their own product while collaborating with internationally acclaimed brands, including Silicon Valley ventures. As an important effort towards developing businesses, the ambassador also called for proper attention to intellectual property issies.
