STEPANAKERT, NOVEMBER 20, ARTSAKHPRESS:In an interview with Artsakhpress the executive director of “Eznik Mozyan Vacational School”, Vaspurak Karapetyan, said that the duration of teaching in the educational institution is three years, and is divided into two and one years.
“In this way we are trying to create a flexible system. The main partners of the teaching process are our employers. We have a double system of education. One week is dedicated to general and vocational education, another two, to working for construction companies. Based on the contract of apprenticeship training, they are remunerated at the rate of 50% of the minimum wage,” said Mr. Karapetyan.
In his words six specialties are operating in the school: technical exploitation of electrical equipment of machinery and mechanisms, mechanical processing of metals on machine tools and lines, implementation of finishing works, construction and repair works, technical exploitation of thermal energy equipment and thermal networks, exploitation and technology of woodworking equipment.
From the new academic year it is envisaged to start secondary vocational education programs on automation, robotics, renewable energy (solar energy) specialties. Apprentices, who have completed the two-year course of the college, will be taught with the secondary vocational education programs.
