In 2017 the Tufenkian Charitable Foundation has carried out a number of projects in Artsakh. Some of the projects are still in process.

STEPANAKERT, DECEMBER 12, ARTSAKHPRESS:In an interview with Artsakhpress, Tufenkian Foundation Office Coordinator, Medina Hovhannisyan, said that owing to the foundation, 6 new houses were put into operation in 2017, in the community of Arajamugh, Hadrut region. “Besides, the village school building in Arajamugh was expanded — 4 new classrooms were added,” Medina Hovhannisyan said.

She informed that the foundation together with the Hayrenaser charity NGO has renovated the school building of the Hak village in Kashatagh region. The problem of drinking water been also solved.

“The Tufenkian Charitable foundation has implemented a number of projects in the community of Ishkhanadzor, Kashatagh region — capital renovation of the village’s hospital as well as houses of Syrian and Lebanese Armenians settled in Ishkhanadzor.

Medina Hovhannisyan noted that, within the frames of “Housing for Wounded Freedom Fighters” project, 5 houses have been renovated this year.

“In 2018 we are planning to focus the works of the foundation on the infrastructures of the northern villages of Kashatagh region. Our permanent projects will be continued,” Medina Hovhannisyan concluded.
