STEPANAKERT, DECEMBER 14, ARTSAKHPRESS:Minister of Agriculture, Zhirayr Mirzoyan, made an opening speech at the event.
He said that the expert from abroad was in different regions of Artsakh. He got acquainted with the pomegranate cultivation process and gave respective instructions.
In Zhirayr Mirzoyan's words, they are expecting suggestions from cultivators, and want to make the Ministry of Agriculture a unique platform for vocational training, retraining, consultations and other purposes.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Vilen Avetisyan, told Artsakhpress that within the frames of gardening development program specialists from abroad regularly visit Artsakh.
''Pomegranate is in great demand not only in Artsakh but in Armenia and abroad as well. There are all the favorable conditions for pomegranate cultivation in Artsakh,'' Vilen Avetisyan said.
The Deputy Minister noted that 70 cultivators attended the lecture.
During the lecture the expert from abroad presented his observations on pomegranate cultivation and responded to the questions of the cultivators.
