Upon the initiative of Artsakh Ministry of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism, the opening of the New Year “town” took place on the central Renaissance Square on Monday.

STEPANAKERT, DECEMBER 18, ARTSAKHPRESS:The opening was marked by parade.
After the parade children made presents, toys and cards with the help of Santa Clause.
In an interview with Artsakhpress Minister of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism, Sergey Shahverdyan said that for the first time this year handiworks and New Year souvenirs are being sold in the 16 wooden houses installed on the Renaissance Square.
Residents of bordering villages also can sell their handmade souvenirs there.
After the opening of the New Year “town” the main Christmas tree was lit.
