Artsakh wushu athletes win gold

On February 16-21 international Class A Wushu Tournament was held in the Russian capital city of Moscow. Five athletes of Artsakh Republic Wushu Federation headed by coach Davit Grigoryan took part in the tournament.

STEPANAKERT, FEBRUARY 21, ARTSAKHPRESS:Head coach of Artsakh Republic Wushu Federation, Davit Grigoryan, told Artsakhpress 750 athletes from 14 countries participated in the tournament.

Speaking about the results of the tournament, Davit Grigoryan said Arsen Baghryan in the weight category below 48kg and Vardges Manasyan in the 52kg weight category captured first places and were awarded gold medals and diplomas.

Vardan Abrahamyan (w/c 65kg) and Hayk Gasparyan (w/c below 56kg) captured third places.

“The best athletes will also participate in the World Youth and Europe Championships,’’ Davit Grigoryan added.
