Artsakh State Minister Arayik Harutyunyan visits New South Wales Parliament

STEPANAKERT, MARCH 15, ARTSAKHPRESS:He had meetings with Armenia-Australia Friendship Group of NSW. Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC-AU) informed about the aforesaid. Artsakh’s Representative in Australia, Kaylar Michaelian, was also present at the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Member of Parliament and Chair of the Armenian-Australian Friendship Group, Jonathan O’Dea. Arayik Harutyunyan expressed his gratitude to the Parliament of NSW for standing beside the people of the Artsakh Republic and recognizing its independence and its right to self-determination. He particularly thanked Jonathan O’Dea, Hugh McDermott and Damien Tudehope for their speeches made on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Sumgait pogroms at the Parliament a month ago.

Arayik Harutyunyan was also at the Armenian Genocide monument and paid tribute to the memory of Armenian Genocide innocent victims.

In the October of 2012 Australia’s largest state of NSW recognized the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh and Artsakh people’s right to self-determination.
