On March 18 charity fundraising dinner entitled “Karvachar: Let’s rebuild Artsakh together” took place in the city of Glendale, California, US. The money raised during the dinner will go directly to reconstruction works of Culture Center of Karvachar community in the Shahumyan region.

STEPANAKERT, MARCH 20, ARTSAKHPRESS:As Artsakhpress informs, welcoming the guests, Fred Vardanyan, head of the “Ararat” foundation operating in the US, attached importance to strengthening of Homeland-Diaspora ties and enrichment of Artsakh. He presented the activities envisaged in the program. Within the “Project Artsakh-Rebuilding Karvachar” renovation of a building in poor condition, restoration of a hall for 300 people, replenishment with new technical equipment are envisaged.
Head of the initiative, Ara Aharonyan, expressed his gratitude to the participants of the event for their support and willingness.
“By renovating Karvachar’s culture center we will build a better future for the community and the whole region from the perspective of activating cultural life and creating new jobs,’’ Ara Aharonyan said, in particular.
Initiative member, president of the military-patriotic “Pativ” union, Stepan Gumrikyan, has also undertaken the renovation of school of Nor Erkej village in the Shahumyan region.
Benefactor Harut Bronozyan, who has donated 15.000 US dollars to the project, noted that every Armenian should serve to the welfare of Artsakh and Armenia.
During the event Karvachar’s mayor sent a video message and Artsakh State Minister’s message was read.
Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles, Razmik Stepanyan, member of California State Assembly, Adrin Nazaryan, representatives of traditional Armenian parties, other officials were present at the fundraising dinner.
