Young Artsakh boxers return from Armenian championship with medals
STEPANAKERT, APRIL 4, ARTSAKHPRESS:Coach Narek Abrahamyan told Artsakhpress 280 participants from almost all the regions of Armenia were included in the championship. In his words, in the 40 kg weight class 14-year-old Manvel Petrosyan from Kert community of Artsakh’s Martuni region captured the first place. He won five bouts. In the 48 kg weight class 14-year-old Ashot Beglaryan from Ivanyan community of Askeran region won 4 bouts and captured the second place, while his brother, Gor Beglaryan, won three bouts out of five and captured the third place.
“Winner of the first prize Manvel Petrosyan was also included in the
Armenian boxing national team. He will participate in the championships of
Tsaghkadzor and Ararat in the near future. In September he will also participate in European
championship to be held in Bulgaria,’’ Narek Abrahamyan said.
