At the initiative of Artsakh martial arts association, an open championship of Artsakh mixed martial arts (MMA) has been held in Stepanakert secondary school No 6.

Artsakh MMA open championship held in Stepanakert

STEPANAKERT, APRIL 16, ARTSAKHPRESS:President of the Artsakh martial arts association, Garegin Aghabalyan told ArtsakhPress, about 70 athletes in the age group of 12-18 and over 18 from Askeran region’s Aygestan village, as well as from Karvachar, Stepanakert, Yerevan, Etchmiadzin, Vanadzor participated in the championship.

In his words, the aim of the championship is to get the athletes interested in MMA and to reveal the best athletes who will participate in the Armenian MMA championship on May 12.

Winners of the competition have been awarded with cups, medals and honorary certificates.
