STEPANAKERT, APRIL 17, ARTSAKHPRESS:As ArtsakhPress correspondent informs, Mari Lu Papazyan welcoming those present told about the center's activity.

There are ''Tumo'' centers operating in Yerevan, Gyumri, Dilijan and Stepanakert. Some 14,000 children attend the centers.

About 1,000 children attend Stepanakert's ''Tumo'' creative technologies center.

''Our aim is to boost and develop the knowledge that ‘‘Tumo’’’s children have. By attending the center they receive self-education, participate in workshops and courses. The latter are conducted by specialists invited from abroad,'' executive director of the center informed. She emphasized that she is delighted by the abilities and purposefulness of the children attending Stepanakert ''Tumo'' center.

She next presented the three new programs of ''Tumo Studios'' ''Tumo Laboratories'' and ''Tumo Army''.

Participants of the program can become designers and local craftsmen in future.

In the workshops of ''Tumo Studios'' jobs are created in such spheres as fashion, jewellery design, cooking and industrial design.

''Tumo Laboratories'' is a technological education program for university students and young specialists.

''Tumo Army'' project allows servicemen to develop such knowledge which will raise their competitiveness during military service.

During the meeting, parents of children attending ''Tumo'' center asked questions and got clarifications.

On behalf of all the parents, resident of Askeran region's Khandzk village, Narine Khachatryan, expressed gratitude to Mari Lu Papazyan for having a great contribution to educating their children. She also expressed hope that with its new projects ''Tumo'' will manage to make today's generation smarter and more informed.

To inform, in 2019 new ''Tumo'' creative technologies centers will open in Masis and in Tavush province's Koghb village.
