STEPANAKERT, APRIL 19, ARTSAKHPRESS:As ArtsakhPress reports, President of the Artsakh Republic, Bako Sahakyan, said the aforementioned while presenting his annual report at the plenary session of the parliament on Thursday.
In the President’s words, during the last year, army building process continued in all the necessary directions: military-technical, political, ideological, socio-economic.
“Speaking of the military-technical component, I want to note that complex works have been done in the direction of modernization and replenishment of armament and military equipment.
“The Artsakh Defense Army has been replenished with new equipment, structural changes have been made, and some types of armament have been substituted, which has increased the army’s combat power.
Modernization of the monitoring system continued. As of now, visual field coverage of thermal monitoring systems located in the lines of defense fulfills its task satisfactorily. The process of communication system modernization actively continues,’’ said the President.
Speaking about the development of engineering structures, Bako Sahakyan said that in this direction also there has been a serious progress.
“Large-scale engineering works have been carried out to equip the line of contact. Respective equipment has been acquired, shelters have been built and excavation works have been done.
“For the destruction of the enemy’s subversive intelligence groups, special devices have been located on the military positions,’’ said Bako Sahakyan.
