On May 2 Artsakh Minister of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism, Sergey Shahverdyan and Director of “Fish Eye Art” cultural foundation, filmmaker Jivan Avetisyan signed a cooperation memorandum.

Artsakh Culture Ministry to support shooting works of “Gate to Heaven” film

STEPANAKERT, MAY 2, ARTSAKHPRESS:As ArtsakhPress correspondent informs, after the memorandum was signed, issues related to Jivan Avetisyan’s “Gate to Heaven” film’s shooting were discussed.

Attaching importance to the initiative, Artsakh Minister of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism, Sergey Shahverdyan said they try to provide cooperation in the fields of art, culture and cinematography.

“High quality film gives a new charge to the art of acting. It also gives an impetus to Artsakh recognition process. We want to see Artsakh as a platform for film making, where there should be local shooting groups. In this way interest toward cinematography will raise. The axis of Jivan Avetisyan’s work is Artsakh and the latter’s government is ready to support him,’’ Sergey Shahverdyan said, in particular.

In his turn, filmmaker Jivan Avetisyan, said that preparatory works of “Gate to Heaven” film’s creation have been carried out for 2 years.

“We are also sure that the film will contribute to the recognition of Artsakh.

Events of April 2016 will be presented in the film. The shooting

of the film is set to start in July-August,’’ Jivan Avetisyan said.

During the meeting a number of other issues related to preparatory works were discussed.
