Jubilee evening of Artsakh national artist Leonid Harutyunyan held in Stepanakert

At the initiative of Artsakh Ministry of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism and Shushi’s museum after Mkrtich Khandamiryan, a jubilee evening dedicated to Artsakh national artist and director Leonid Harutyunyan’s 70th birthday anniversary was held on Thursday in Stepanakert.

STEPANAKERT, MAY 3, ARTSAKHPRESS:Leonid Harutyunyan told ArtsakhPress that during the 50 years of his creative labor he has staged 104 plays.

In his words, Stepanakert dramatic theater is the cultural hearth where his talent and skills have been revealed. “I believe that today also the audience has reckless love towards theater. We should be able to just satisfy the refined audience of Artsakh with new scenic productions. I think that today the time demands new approaches towards theater,’’ Leonid Harutyunyan said, in particular. The artist also said that he has an intention to stage new performances.

  Artsakh Minister of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism Sergey Shahverdyan congratulated Leonid Harutyunyan on his 70th birth anniversary and 50th anniversary of his activity.

President of Artsakh Writers’ Union, Vardan Hakobyan, said that staging poetries is a difficult task, which artist Leonid Harutyunyan has successfully accomplished.

At the event, Leonid Harutyunyan was awarded with honorary certificate and certificate of appreciation by Artsakh Writers’ Union and Shushi Town Hall.

Leonid Harutyunyan’s colleagues delivered congratulatory speeches at the event.
