Delegation led by Armenia’s Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan partook in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Defense Ministers Council meeting held on Wednesday in Astana. As the press department at the ministry of defense reports, delegations from the defense administrations of CSTO member states, General Secretary of the CSTO Yuri Khachaturov and the Chief of the Joint General Staff of the CSTO, Colonel-General Anatoli Sidorov attended the meeting.
Defense minister attended CSTO Ministerial Council in Astana
STEPANAKERT, MAY 24, ARTSAKHPRESS:The Council participants discussed agenda issues and signed agreements aimed at expanding the military cooperation within the bloc and further development of the organization’s military component.
In the scope of the Council session, Minister Tonoyan held bilateral meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Shoygu. The parties expressed readiness to exert joint efforts to develop Armenian-Russian allied strategic relations both bilaterally and in the scope of CSTO.
