Moscow's Basman District Court satisfied mediation on arrest of Levon Hayrapetyan

The Basman District Court of Moscow accepted the mediation of the charging side on arrest of businessman Levon Hayrapetyan, reports “Artsakhpress”, citing “Armenpress”. The judge took into account that Hayrapetyan is one of the leaders of the publishing house "Sobesednik", and can exert pressure on the course of the investigation through the media.

The court also pointed out that the businessman is familiar with the Russian judicial and law enforcement systems and can use this to avoid criminal liability. At the same time, Hayrapetyan's lawyer appealed to the court to put him under house arrest or release on bail. The Court has made no decision on this mediation yet.
