Greek Foreign Ministry says Turkey violating Cyprus’s sovereign rights in Eastern Mediterranean

STEPANAKERT, FEBRUARY 12, ARTSAKHPRESS:“We urge Turkey to refrain from further unlawful activities and comply with its commitments as they emanate from international law,” the foreign ministry said in a statement in Greek, adding that Turkey’s behavior did not befit an EU candidate state.

The ministry praised Nicosia’s “cool-headed and sober stance,” saying it confirmed its role as a pillar of stability in the wider region.
