STEPANAKERT, FEBRUARY 4, ARTSAKHPRESS: Armen Hayriyan, Head of the Oncology Service of the Republican Medical Center in Stepanakert, told "Artsakhpress" that in such cases citizens show medical documents and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh compensate 50% of expenses.
Hayriyan informed that information campaign aimed at fighting cancer have been organized in Artsakh for several years.
“We organize various seminars for the medical staff. The topics of these seminars aimed at raising public awareness to prevent the disease. This year new screening programmes will be introduced.
During the year, we organize visits to the regions, provide information notes, and hold meetings and discussions with the risky groups. We are also planning to carry out medical examination programs in regional hospitals," he said.
Hayriyan noted that as in the whole world in Artsakh also the number of cancer patients increases.
