STEPANAKERT,  FEBRUARY 12, ARTSAKHPRESS: In the field of culture, works have been carried out in the following directions: preservation of national culture, activation of cultural life in the Republic, development and strengthening of ties with Armenia and abroad, preservation and popularization of intangible cultural heritage and retraining and re-qualification of cultural workers.

As “Artsakhpress” reports, Minister of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism of the Republic of Artsakh, Lernik Hovhannisyan said at the press conference held on February 12.

The minister also touched upon a number of other projects implemented during the year. In particular, methodological assistance was provided to the SNCOs   subordinated to ministry  for the organization of cultural events, events dedicated to holidays and memorial days, film screenings, for organizing seminars and training courses. The poultry development activities were continued during the year.

For activating the cultural life in the regions diverse events were organized in the regions and communities.

Artsakh youth took part in the youth gatherings, conferences, trainings and intellectual games organized in Armenia and abroad,” said Hovhannisyan.

According to the minister, during the year in the sphere of religion and national minorities, meetings were held with the religious leaders of the regions of the Republic of Artsakh, representatives of religious organizations, lectures on 'Spiritual Safety'  were held.

During the press conference, Lernik Hovhannisyan also answered journalists' questions.
