STEPANAKERT,  FEBRUARY 12, ARTSAKHPRESS:  As "Artsakhpress" reports, Minister of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism of the Republic of Artsakh,  Lernik Hovhannisyan stated at the press conference  held on February 12, adding that according to the data of January, 2019, 710 tourists visited Artsakh, as compared to  last year’s 676.

“The 2018 tourism development program was primarily aimed at implementing marketing policy. Four informational centers in the capital Stepanakert and Shushi continued to provide tourists visiting Artsakh with reliable and free information. More than 800 tourists from 52 countries visited Stepanakert and Shushi information centers during the mentioned period. Another 18 new hotel facilities will be registered during the year. At present, there are 64 hotel facilities in Artsakh with 1532 beds,”said Hovhannisyan.

According to the minister, in 2019  they will continue to expand the geography of origin of tourists visiting Artsakh.

A digital marketing campaign will be organized within the framework of marketing programs, involving a large number of users.

The minister also noted that Tourist Support Center will be established in order to provide comprehensive information and support to tourists visiting Artsakh.
