On 22 February, Minister of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Artsakh Narine Aghabalyan received Armenian weightlifter, World and European champion Nazik Avdalyan . At the invitation of the Artsakh Weightlifting Federation, the athlete has arrived in Artsakh on a 10-day visit.

STEPANAKERT,  FEBRUARY 22, ARTSAKHPRESS: Narine Aghabalyan welcomed Avdalyan's visit to Artsakh, noting that the people of Artsakh have always been proud of her successes and achievements.The Minister underlscored that she has many fans in Artsakh.
Speaking about the policy of developing sports in Artsakh, Aghabalyan said that due to state policy, sports life in Artsakh has become more active in recent years. As a result, Artsakh has promising athletes in different sports.

In an interview with Artsakhpress, Nazik Avdalyan said that the aim of her visit is to hold master trainings with local athletes.
She will deliver masterclass and hold intense trainings with local weightlifters.

“I really want weightlifting to be developed in Artsakh. In Artsakh there are devoted coaches who are interested in the development of this sport.

In response to our question whether it is easy for a woman to be in the field of sports, she answered: "I do not agree with statements that weightlifting makes women rough. During trainings, you are an athlete, and at home you are a wife and mother. At present I'm temporarily not involved in sports. "
At the end of the meeting N. Aghabalyan invited Nazik Avdalyan with her family to visit the 2019 CONIFA European Football Cup to be held on June 4-15 in Artsakh.
The minister also presented symbolic gifts to Nazik Avdalyan.
