Artsakh legislature speaker and MEPs discuss opportunities to include Artsakh in EU programs
STEPANAKERT, MARCH 7, ARTSAKHPRESS: MEP Eleni Theocharous, head of the EP-Armenia friendship group, noted that the meeting provides a great opportunity to exchange views on various issues relating to Artsakh.
Artsakh Parliament Speaker in his turn touched upon the successful cooperation experience with the EU and the federal and regional parliaments of Belgium, as well as highlighted the necessity to keep and promote this cooperation after the upcoming elections of the European Parliament.
During the meeting the participants also exchanged views on the recognition of the Artsakh people’s right to self-determination, the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, as well as the inclusion of Artsakh in various EU programs, including the ones aimed at civil society development.
