The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute has issued its annual report in which it listed the largest exporters of arms, news.am reports, referring to RIA Novosti.
World’s largest weapon exporters are announced
STEPANAKERT, MARCH 11, ARTSAKHPRESS: According to the document, these countries are the US, Russia, China, France, and Germany. As per the report, these nations carry out 75 percent of the global arms exports, and, furthermore, the first two countries conduct 57 percent of these exports.
It is noted that Russia has supplied weapons to 48 countries—and primarily to India, China, and Algeria—from 2014 to 2018.
As stated by the report, during the same period, global arms exports increased by 7.8 percent, and the biggest increase in arms imports was recorded in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Israel, Qatar, and Iraq.
