The United States' Embassy in Yerevan has reaffirmed the Washngton authorities’ support to the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh).

STEPANAKERT, MARCH 15, ARTSAKHPRESS: ''As a co-chair of the Minsk Group, the United States remains committed to helping the sides find a peaceful and lasting solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” reads an official statement submitted to Tert.am in response to our earlier request for comments.
The Embassy has recommended referring to the OSCE Minsk Group mission for further clarifications and comments.
Tert.am initially sought clarifications from Andrew Schofer, the United States’ co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, over the March 9 official statement regarding the upcoming meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders. The questions addressed particularly the international peace mediators’ stance on Karabakh’s return to the peace process (i.e. - whether they rule out such a possibility) and the military exercises in Azerbaijan ahead of the top-level summit.
