STEPANAKERT, APRIL 11, ARTSAKHPRESS: Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated at the press conference on April 11, responding to humanitarian proposals presented by " Free Homeland "party Chairman Arayik Harutyunyan on opening of the airspace of Artsakh for international flights and on the usage of Sarsang reservoir jointly by Artsakh and Azerbaijan.

"First of all, this initiative, like other initiatives, should be appreciated. This shows that countries are interested in the conflict settlement. If the interference of other states or the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries is needed, this issue may also be considered. I think it will be a good opportunity to consider these and other issues during the upcoming meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, "Zakharova said.
Arayik Harutyunyan has presented two humanitarian proposals:
First, the airspace of Artsakh must be open for international flights. In this context, we highlight the re-launch of the Stepanakert airport, which will also enable the realization of fundamental human rights, especially the right to freedom of movement. I am convinced that in that case, the regional communication capabilities will be expanded, and the Artsakh armed forces will ensure the safety of our airspace.

Secondly, the water resources of Sarsang reservoir can be used jointly by Artsakh and Azerbaijan. In case of consent, thousands of hectares of irrigated lands of Artsakh and Azerbaijan border regions will be irrigated by raising the living standards of the population living in those areas.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan will hold a meeting in Moscow on April 15 devoted to issues of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement
