French-Armenian singer advocates for peace through Armenian and Turkish songs

French musician of Armenian origin Karol Mark Boren has established a music band named “Mahaleb” along with his friends, Ermenihaber reports.

French-Armenian singer advocates for peace through Armenian and Turkish songs

STEPANAKERT, APRIL 26, ARTSAKHPRESS: The band comprising of Armenian, Greek and French musicians performs music in Armenian and Turkish that were popular in Anatolia, Panorama.am reports.

Karol noted that the group songs have no political context and is aimed at promoting solidarity and peace among Armenian and Turkish people. “My message is the music. I feel quite comfortable in communicating in Armenian and Turkish alike. I want to pass on the songs to future generations,” the musician said.

The musician said his concerts in Turkey received a warm welcome, and during European tours the audience both from Turkish and Armenian communities deeply excited him.
