On May 18, Chairman of Free Homeland Party Arayik Harutyunyan in Ishkhanadzor community of Kashatagh region had a meeting with the party activists and supporters living in the southern wing of the region.
Arayik Harutyunyan will participate in the 2020 presidential elections
STEPANAKERT, MAY 20, ARTSAKHPRESS: As “ Artsakhpress” reports, Arayik Harutyunyan presented the new agenda of the “Free Homeland” Party, the upcoming programs and activities, as well as expressed a clear position on the participation of the party in the forthcoming national elections and his vision on the internal political situation.
At the meeting, Artush Mkhitaryan, the responsible for the Free Homeland party in Kasahtagh region, said in his speech that during the party conference held in Berdzor regional office, among other issues, the issues of nominating a new chairman of the party at the party upcoming congress, as well as nominating a candidate for the upcoming presidential elections in Artsakh in 2020 were discussed.
The members of the conference unanimously decided to nominate Arayik Harutyunyan to run for Artsakh president in the 2020 election.
Arayik Harutyunayn in his turn expressed his gratitude for trusting him and gave his consent to participate in the 2020 presidential elections. He mentioned that he hadn’t chosen the day of the meeting by chance. He noted that on May 18, 1992 his cherished dream - the reunification of Artsakh with Mother Armenia -came true.
"I started the series of meetings with Ishkhanadzor because this community has been one of the most developed villages in recent years. Here I respond to Madrid Principles, the Kazan agreement and the negotiation process. We have a homeland fixed by the Constitution and we must step by step reach our ultimate goal.
Here I swear an oath because here are my combat and fellow party friends, supporters, compatriots, my family because I realize what responsibility I should take upon receiving your vote of confidence. Being a prime minister of the Republic of Artsakh for ten years and a year of state minister, I realize the scope of problems to be solved, as well as the ways of their solution, " concluded Harutyunyan.
