Turkey, Azerbaijan to conduct joint military exercises

STEPANAKERT, AUGUST 28, ARTSAKHPRESS: Citing the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, contact.az reports that joint tactical military exercises of the Military Air Forces of Turkey and Azerbaijan will be conducted from September 2 to 16. There will be 30 units of military equipment to be used during the TurAz Qartalı-2019 military exercises, including MiG-29, F-16, Su-25, P-235 Kasa planes, as well as Mi-35, Mi-17, Sikorsky UH-70, CH-47 Chinook and ATAK/AH-1W helicopters.

The aim of the military exercises is to work on the joint military operations and the search and rescue efforts of the aircraft of the Military Air Forces of Turkey and Azerbaijan, as well as the air and on-ground troops of the two countries’ Maritime Forces.
