STEPANAKERT, SEPTEMBER 13,  ARTSAKHPRESS: Davutoglu resigned on Friday, a few days after the ruling Justice and Development Party, began proceedings to expel him and three former lawmakers from the party for misconduct.

The politician was FM from 2009 to 2014, and then PM until 2016.

He recently criticized the policies of President Recep Erdogan, especially regarding freedom of expression.

Davutoglu is the second key figure in the AKP, who left its row after Ali Babacan, a former deputy prime minister and minister of economy, who also announced plans in July to create a new party.
