STEPANAKERT, SEPTEMBER 27,  ARTSAKHPRESSThe project has been implemented with the financial support of the Cairo National Prelacy of the Egypt Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The maternity unit is a two-storey building provided with all modern equipment.
The honor of opening the unit was given to Ara Yeremyan, Executive Director of the Hadrout Regional Medica Center and Leader of Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Egypt Archbishop Ashot Mnatsakanian.

In an interview with "Artsakhpress", the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Baghryan said that the Hadrut maternity unit has such conditions that aren’t even available in Stepanakert's Maternal and Child Health Center.

According to Ara Yeremyan,the maternity unit is a great gift for the residents of the Hadrut region.
“The building of  Hadrut regional medical center was  built in the 80s of the last century. For many years the building was in a poor condition. In 2008 the building was renovated by financial support of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, but the maternity unit had not been repaired.
The new unit will stimulate the growth of birth rate in Hadrut region," he said.
Leader of Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Egypt Archbishop Ashot Mnatsakanian noted that it was a great honor for them to be in Artsakh.
He noted that thanks to the kind attitude of the members of the Cairo National Prelacy of the Egypt Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, material support was provided for the renovation of Hadrut's maternity unit. He thanked all those who contributed to the realization of the project.

Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan, State Minister Grigory Martirosyan, other state officials, benefactors and  guests attended the event.
