STEPANAKERT, NOVEMBER 5,  ARTSAKHPRESS: Before leaving for the Matenadaran-Gandzasar Scientific-Cultural Center, the participants of the conference put flowers at the memorial for the students who fell victim during the Artsakh war.

Rector of the Artsakh State University Armen Sargsyan delivered opening remarks at the conference.

He noted that about 150 students from Artsakh, Armenia and abroad attended the three-day international conference.

Sargsyan said that diverse changes are taking place in the field of higher education; new challenges are arising and the best way of resisting them is to cooperate with various universities of the world.

Referring to the results of the conference, Rector of the University stated in particular: “I have met with the leaders of the conference teams. They expressed their satisfaction with the proper conduct of the event. Unlike other scientific events, this time the students organized quite active discussions.

Director of the Matenadaran-Gandzasar Scientific-Cultural Center, Aram Torosyan, in his turn congratulated on the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Artsakh State University and attached importance to holding international conferences in Artsakh.

He informed that soon Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation will be signed between Artsakh State University and Matenadaran-Gandzasar Scientific-Cultural Center.

“I would also like to inform you that within the next 15 days a reading hall (library) will be opened at the Matenadaran-Gandzasar Scientific-Cultural Center. The entire digital resource of the world's largest repository of manuscripts will be available in Artsakh. As a result we will have new scientific studies and researches, "he added.
Transnistria State University student Yuri Kasumyan told “Artsakhpress” that it is his first visit to Artsakh.

“I am very impressed with the picturesque places of Artsakh and the warmth, sincerity and hospitality Artsakh people. I was delighted to attend this conference. I have gained new knowledge, experience, and good friends. As a student, I attach great importance to conducting such events,” he said.

At the end of the conference the participants were awarded with certificates.
