Today the Nagorno-Karabakh Government’s Tourism and Historical Environment Protection Department organized Mulberry Festival near the Amaras monastery.
Mullberry Festival in Artsakh
STEPANAKERT, JUNE 27 ARTSAKHPRESS: Artsakhpress learned that a blessing ceremony was held in the Amaras monastery.
At the exhibition goods that are made of mulberry were shown: mulberry vodka, jam, raisins, doshab. In addition, they show methods of preparing vodka, doshab.
During the festival, traditional games, entertaining events were organized. Traditional and contemporary songs and music were also performed.
Artsakhpress learned that a Mullberry Blessing Ceremony was held by Primate of Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop T. Pargev Martirosyan.
The participants of the festival learned about Artsakh’s talented artists, craftsmen.
The Nagorno- Karabakh’s President Bako Sahakyan, the Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan and other officials, guests from Armenia and abroad were present.
The mulberry plays a very important role in Artsakh. Evidence of that is the presence of mulberry trees in Artsakh. The main aim of the festival is to promote the development of tourism in the region, to develop local production, to activate the cultural life of the community.
