STEPANAKERT, NOVEMBER 30, ARTSAKHPRESS: The coordinator of Stepanakert wiki club Irina Safaryan, in an interview with Artsakhpress noted that wiki club can attend all those who wish, without any age restrictions.

"Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia. The main goal of the club is to write more articles about Artsakh,as there is very little information about Artsakh in the Armenian wikipedia.  We use books and official sites to write articles. Currently we have about 100 articles about Artsakh, " noted  Safaryan, adding that they have about 10-15 active editors,  and 30 editors take part in editorial works.

" We are  planing  to open new branches in Artsakh regions  and communities to work with students in this direction. We prefer to include more students, as the program is educational. Wiki editors also do translations. The best articles will be translated into other languages ” she informed.

Talking about future plans, she  also noted that every month for 3 days they will attend courses organized by experienced wiki editors in Aghveran.

“Twice a year, in summer and winter wiki camps are organized , which is attended by more than 100 editors from  Armenian regions, Artsakh and Diaspora,” she concluded.
