Chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan says the EEU is ready to discuss dialogue with the EU in different areas.

STEPANAKERT, JUNE 16, ARTSAKHPRESS-ARMENPRESS: “We are a young organization, but we have passed a long way in this short time. Opinions are voiced in our address, stating as if an attempt is made to re-create the USSR through the EEU. I would like to inform that our countries have equal representations, regardless of the number of population, territory, social of economic development. Our decisions are made through consensus,” Sargsyan said.
“I can say that the EEU is a response to the present global risks. We have planned to overcome them by joint efforts. We are a young organization, our agreement states the stages as to how we will create a common economic zone. Today, our businesses and citizens already feel the results. They are moving freely, diplomas are acknowledges in EEU countries, which gives the opportunity to find jobs easier. Though we have results, we still have work to do,”he added.
In this context Sargsyan said they are interested in creating new business ties. According to him, EEU member state Presidents emphasize cooperation with non-EEU countries, which implies dialogue.
“We are ready for dialogue, with different countries, including the EU. As noted by Secretary General Ban ki-Moon, we have to build bridges, including with the EU,” Sargsyan added.
