STEPANAKERT, MARCH 7, ARTSAKHPRESS: The head of the French Club in Stepanakert Gohar Harutyunyan told "Artsakhpress" , noting that the French club's primary aim is to acquaint Artsakh people  with the French culture.

“A group of young people actively participate in the club activities. Today the club has 25 members.  Thanks to the French Charitable Organization library and video library have been created in the club.

Since 1997, by means of SPFA French Charitable Organization French tourists visit Artsakh, and the club's French-speaking young people have an opportunity to talk with them, which promotes language possession .

 Gohar Haroutyunyan noted that despite the French lessons,   the club has implemented a number of projects in Artsakh, including environmental, educational, and cultural.

The French professors visiting Artsakh organize seminars, debates on various topics and French language courses. Members of the French-speaking youth club held "Francophone Days in Artsakh" .  Twice a year the club members take part in tours to Yerevan organized by SPFA. "

She also noted that the members of Stepanakert club with members of SPFA organization, operating in different regions of Armenia,  participate in the "Summer University" program.

Since 2004, SPFA implements the "Delight of Reading" program, which enables children to enjoy French children's books.  Twice a week the center organizes free classes for 2-12 year old children.
