European Sambo Championship among cadets commenced in Prague, Czech Republic with the representatives of Armenia securing five medals on the first day of the tournament, the National Olympic Committee of Armenia reports.

STEPANAKERT, APRIL 20, ARTSAKHPRESS: Boris Shatveryan (75kg, U18) was named European Champion, Narek Dallakyan (60 kg, U18) won a silver medal, while Varsik Grigoryan (52 kg U18), Vahagn Chalyna (82 kg, U20) and Feliks Danielyan (48 kg U20) won bronze medals.
To remind, Armenia is represented by 19 athletes at the European Championship which will continue until April 21.
